the day after halloween we had our fall festival/trunk or treat. it's not my favorite holiday event of the year, but it's fun for the kiddos, so it's a necessary evil. :)
we started the evening by fishing.
she's a one handed, casual fishergirl.
#hotmess
then we went over to the cupcake circle, like a cake walk, but much, much smaller. after that, laney was all like "peace out, suckas, i'm eating this thang."
so we left her to eat and did some pumpkin bowling. i like this one cause it shows the crazy elsa, post throw.
in her defense, this was the last of our halloween events.
facts stacked against her - she'd only worn the wig once before.
though they hail from professional bowling blood (my grandparents owned a bowling ally, for the love) i'm not seeing any leagues in our future.
meanwhile...
i love how adeline is kicking her head and she's just eating her cupcake.
girl after my own heart.
next up, jack'o'lantern pong with the elders. again, not seeing any professional pong in our future.
they had fun though. :)
delaney finally finished her cupcake and decided on some more chocolate. we decided on donut bobbing. or whatever it's called.
she totally didn't get it. she just stood there with her mouth open. she was all "get in my belly!" but it wouldn't. it just wouldn't.
"laney, bite it, can you bite it? get it, lanes!" and still she stood...
i finally played mama bird and demonstrated for her, then when she still couldn't get it, i bit it and held it still so she could finally bite it without her hands. love this choc-a-holic.
we picked some pumpkins and did a bean bag toss. then it was trunk or treat time. matt was working and then his friend had a retirement party. so chris passed out our candy.
we stopped at david's photo booth first thing and our pictures were awesome.
as per the norm.
yup!
then part of the frozen crew. loving frankie's pose!
and abby's pose. those crazy elsa's!
it was a short but sweet last celebration of halloween. :)
and this was what i saw in my rear view mirror as we left. love halloween wigs!
