our halloween costume situation was a hot mess this year. we ordered from china, at the very beginning of october. frankie's elsa dress, her wig, and laney's wig arrived 2 weeks before halloween and then... nothing. trick or treat on the square came and went - nothing. halloween came and went - nothing. then the ward party came and went - nothing. we finally received laney's costume november 6 and addie's yesterday. oh well!
at trick or treat on the square i let the two costume-free girls choose other costumes from our stash and all was well. neither girl was upset at all, they totally made the best of it. but both girls, addie especialy, really, really wanted their princess costumes. especially since frankie had already worn hers to an event, addie was dying for hers. so when i was at target the night before halloween i picked them each up a cheap playdress, and addie this clearance sleeping beauty wig. halloween is once a year and you just don't get that many magical ones before you are a grown-up, so i want them to be happy. sometimes it's just the little things.
(ps - i realize i just posted about saving $, but we felt this was important. just know that i am aware of my contradictions, k? ;)
anyhow, addie was ecstatic to finally have an ugly elsa costume.
and apparently elsa is a very mysterious lady, eyes half opened, always looking behind her...
you just can't direct this kind of photo shoot. you just point, shoot, and let it run it's awesome course.
each pose is better than the last.
lot's of letting it go up in here, i tell ya.
this was her "best elsa pose."
it's good, right?
elsa #2 up next. because the ray girls are just that awesome.
