I met with one of my presidents on Tuesday and then Lu and Henry and I went grocery shopping. Then we all worked together to make a couple Shepards Pies.
Frankie decided to apply for the teacher program at the tech center and she’s so excited. Alexis helped her look over requirements one day. With the help from a bowl of hot Cheetos, obviously.
The missionaries came for breakfast dinner one night and they walked us through making the cool paper birds. The boys loved them!
So when my dad moved to NY he bought a really nice sleep number bed and no one else wanted it, so we decided to take it for Adi. There’s just never a good or easy way to bring a bed from NY to MD. Anyways, Damian brought his truck and after we dropped them at the airport for his friends wedding, Matt and I headed up to NY in his truck. On the way scenery…
The girls stayed home in charge of these cuties. It was their first night to be home alone and I was nervous! It turned out perfectly, all reported it was great and no one was even scared. We ordered pizza and had it left on the porch for them.
The drive up was the weirdest drive ever! Started off rough, continued rough in the middle and ended rough. We’ve never taken so many wrong turns, it was bananas. One example, as we were leaving DC, we missed our exit and that lead to us being stuck in traffic for 45 minutes. There was no way to get off the freeway. We made it there safely, that’s what matters.
We all chatted when we arrived right around 11, and then Amy and I stayed up till the early morning hours.
The next day was more of the same. We walked the dam and hung out. Max and Quinn came home from Kristi’s so we spent some time with them. We left around 3 and it was off and on raining, but the bed fit pretty well and we were able to tarp and keep the rest of it fairly dry.
