next up was new point comfort lighthouse.

just to illustrate what major, major lighthouse nerds we are, laura and i spend hours mapping out each lighthouse trip. it is not easy fitting so many lighthouses into such short time frames. also, a lot of lights are not very easily accessible. it takes a lot of thought and research to see which roads will get us closest or which park we can catch a view from. then there's also the hours of operation, so you've got to plan the unmanned lights for really early so you can get to the manned lights and climb. serious lighthousing takes dedication, man.

 it's just such a beautiful hobby. the sights, sounds, smells, it's just amazing, all of it.

makes all the work totally worth it.
and yes, i know i am the worlds biggest nerd and i'm proud of it.
lighthouse shirt? i've got 3. sweater? yes. bag? sewing patches project is underway. passport? working on #2. i've got stamps, patches, figurines, magnets, and ornaments.
