Prizes from the dentist. Made their morning.
Before we got home we stopped at the school to water the garden and the tree.
After that, Laney wanted to go in and see her Ms. Lowwie (Lorrie) and i wanted to know where we were on the pre-k wait list. We found out there are spots available, but we have to wait until school starts.I am fine with it either way. I really vacillate between "she's my baby and I want her home one more year. Also, the pre-k schedule can be super inconvienent," and "it would be so nice to have a few hours of alone time each day." So we wait.
Last night we celebrated the July birthdays at Alecia's. It ended up just being Chelsea, Laura, Sarah, Darlaina, Alecia, and i, but it was perfect. We ate foods from around the country, found out I've been to the most states, played a name that state and Capitol game, chatted, and played Heads Up for hours. Good times! We stayed till after 3, got to bed by 4, and had a very sleepy day all day today.
Today we had a presidency meeting at Lexi's house. She lives right around the corner from Alecia, so all the kids played over there while we met. It was nice that they were occupied and having fun.
Then this afternoon we went to the pool. 4-7 is our favorite time. No need for sunscreen and it's usually not very crowded. Showers, pj's, and then bed when we get home.
Ainas met us and the girls had fun playing. It's been nice to visit with all my girlfriends since I've been back. So much to catch up on!
We've been listening to The BFG, so when we got home we had the idea to sit outside in the car and listen to our cd instead of read inside. Shake it up a little.
I made them popcorn and we watched the rain.It was pretty sweet.
The following is a study in natural smiling:
Pretty good, right?
