Addie date

I've been anxious about our middle girl. she's such an odd little tender hearted girl, and she doesn't make friends quickly or easily. she's so sweet and kind, but I know she spent many a recess last year chatting with her teacher, or helping out inside. I don't know why, but that's the way it's been, and there are way worse things.

so in preparation for 3rd grade, we planned an addie/mommy date. megan had texted and invited frankie to swim with them at cove point pool, so I just needed to find a place for lanes. in the midst of the planning, sarah texted, and offered to keep lanes. problem solved.

addie decided she wanted to go to the movies all day. first we saw the secret life of pets at 10:30.

it was so super cute! we ate our popcorn and drank our cherry coke, and chatted before the movie. I heart one-on-one time.

megan sent me this, so I knew these little cuties were just having a blast.

we had about an hour to kill between movies, so we headed over to wildwood to look for a first day of school outfit. we found a couple shirts, and then checked out the clearance rack outside. addie liked this cute sweater, only it was just a tad too big. for $5, we bought it anyway.

then it was back to the theater for more popcorn, cherry coke, and kubo, which was very weird and kind of scary for a little one. we pulled up the divider between our seats and cuddled and it was great spending time with this big girl.

while we were enjoying the chilly awesomeness at the movies, lanes and aina crew found snapping turtle eggs that were just hatching. cute!

after our date, I offered to watch sarahs girls so she could take her big girl on a pre-back to school date, so she dropped the girls off here. we are trying to squeeze every last second out of our pool time, so we took the littles to the pool.

we heart pool time.

and these hot days are just perfect for chilling in the pool. it's about the only time I really want to swim.

after about an hour at the pool, adeline fell and scraped her knee. from experience, and because she was so sleepy, I was pretty sure she'd be sad for awhile. so I showered her and brought her home while matt kept the big girls at the pool. we came home, and within 5 minutes she was out .sweet girl.

that night during scripture time, addie and laney cuddled up on matt. sweeeeeet.
