neighbor kim had invited us to Chloe's birthday party for that weekend, and i told her we'd love to come, but would have 4 extra kiddos with us. she said to bring them over, no big deal. only, she never told her husband, and he actually does the party food shopping, so that was an awkward few minutes. no big deal, everyone had fun and all is still good in the hood. (matt wasn't with me to help that night either because he was helping someone move. do you see a theme here? ;)
these girls loooove that they get to have sleepovers, even though our families don't do just regular old friend sleepovers. only if its beneficial to the parents, that's just how we roll.
everyone is in love with Brandon. addie begged to feed him breakfast, so we let her, and it actually went pretty well.
franks and i got to take Curtis to a soccer game.
she borrowed my phone and took a million of these:
turns out we watched the wrong team play, because we are wicked awesome! ooops.
aina's came over to watch the crew while i took the smaller crew to curtis' game. these two cuddled:
and chris guarded pip while the gang loved on him.
it was supposed to rain all afternoon, but we wanted them to get some outside time, so even though it was lightly sprinkling already, we packed lunches and headed to the park. they lasted for an hour or two, and shelly joined us on her last day in Maryland, and added a few more kids to the mix. they ended up getting too wet and cold and started having meltdowns. sarah took little ones home in the stroller, big kids rode bikes, and we piled the mediums into shelly's small cars trunk and drove them home. so many girls!
frankie was so excited because her surfer (generic) American girl doll came in. birthday dollars hard at work.
we rounded out our day with a movie and popcorn, and then playtime. it was another fun and crazy weekend!
then sarah stayed so i could go take prom pictures of Christian too. love this community of moms and how we all swap and share this crazy motherhood gig.
