I was able to chaperone a 2nd grade field trip to the museum of natural history. Ready for some fun!
We got there and got in just before it started raining again. This was during our 3 straight weeks of rain. Snacks before going in.
First up was the butterfly pavilion. Very pretty. The girls in my group were super upset that one of their classmates "accidentally" stepped on a pretty butterfly.
Addie got to pick one thing. She picked rock candy pops for her and the littles. These colorful rocks were super tempting though!
This was a fun photo booth type thing. We didn't know when the shot was taken, we just tried to be ready.
Addie's fav were all the rocks and gems. Such a little geologist.
Gracie is one of her besties.
It's always fun to go to any of the smithsonians. So much to see and learn!
Addie borrowed my phone...
We watched a tarantula eat a cricket. Addie asked a question, but I don't remember what.
For Frankie.
And on the way home they were a little tired. So were the momma's.
For good measure - headless 4-yo.
Also, lanes and i went to baby Lincoln's first birthday party. Candice is a girl after my own heart and had every thing planned out, every cute little detail. So fun.
Nutcracker!
