monday, monday

one of my new years resolutions was to be more consistent with addie's "preschool" activities. so we joined gymnastics again and every monday we've been going to story time at the library. wiggle giggle story time, which is good cause we've got some wiggly one's. addie's little friend abby (i have to really think about which one i'm talking to!) and her mom sarah have been meeting up with us and it's so cute and fun.

just getting to the library and the girls were going over the "grumpy old troll bridge" from dora.

they love dora.

addie has had such an imagination lately that she'll randomly say "i'm a penguin," and start walking around like a penguin. so she loved this penguin display that had "snow" on it. she kept going over to it and staring and touching the snow.

so cute.

sometimes they are more interested in each other than the story.

and even though they weren't following exactly, they were still dancing which is more than they did the first week. i call that success.

here's that imagination. she was being a bird of some sort and she walked along the stripe on the carpet back and forth, back and forth.

they always throw a game in the middle of story time. this day they threw colorful fish out and the kids go to match them to the right colored bucket. can you tell that they weren't too excited about the game?

abby finally decided to play.

but she only took one fish, then she was done.

then addie decided she could take one.

then she got dramatic about it.

abby just loves frankie, and because abby loves to give frankie attention, addie loves to give frankie attention. oh, and addie's getting her barrette fixed, or something.

not sure...

at the end of story time they get stamps, so here is addie, reluctantly showing off her stamps.

abby doesn't like getting stamped, but for some reason she let miss jill stamp her hand. here she was realizing that she had been stamped. it was so cute and dramatic, and then the little boy held up the toy and completely covered her face. oh well.

after story time they put toys and coloring pages out, so we stay a few extra minutes to let them play.

after the library it's mcdonalds time!

we eat and let the girls play and then they tire themselves out for naptime.

we love our monday ritual. 

definitely starts our week off right. :)
