To Virginia!

All out of order, so I'll do my best. On Monday all 25 of us were Dollywood bound! We took 6 cars and a whole lot of fun! Amy's car was her and Sandy and Max and Delaney. We all left at slightly different times, so we kept in touch through texts. Their first stop after their 6am departure was Cracker Barrel for brekkie.
Okay, this doesn't seem funny, but you know how when you're in a group and a joke just takes off? So Adi does this funny thing when she's jokingly frustrated, it's what delaney and Max are doing below, like she's choking herself. Lexi thinks it's so funny, so we all took to doing it. Then there's a trend I've seen on my Reels where they'll say stuff like "What it's like having my kids home all Summer," and then the mom will jokingly shoot, stab, strangle, hang herself and then laugh it off like, just kidding! It reminded me of Adi's funny gesture, so then we all started doing it all the time. We came up with creative new poses and it was funny and silly, even though it's not a funny or silly topic. You've gotta laugh though, right? 😁
Fast forward 9 hours of driving, and this is Frankie and Delaney in front of our Manor House in Tazwell, Virginia.
It was one of the only places on our way that could sleep 25.
The Litz Mansion is a historic mountain manor home and the kids loved rolling down the front yard hills.
Family walk that night and Quinn was loving on her mom. It was sweet because those two are going through a bumpy patch. It's always good to be reminded that our kids do love us!
More frolicking. It looks like someone had set up a slip'n'slide on the front lawn.
Carter took a turn driving!
There were 10 bedrooms, so these 3 shared a room.
Alli and I did some exploring. The house was interesting and definitely haunted.
Another joke of the trip - Christian and Alexis' families got there first and spent time on the upstairs balcony so they could see people when they arrived. When we came he kept shouting "Hellooo down there!" So then we did that the whole rest of the trip because it was funny.
Upstairs foyer. The house was very loud and the walls were very thin. When one Seagrove was up, most everyone else was too.
Mine and Matt's room. Comfy and clean and mostly quiet. At least quiet outside.
Giant parking lot with all of our cars unpacking.
So here's the start of my cars day. Alexis and Damian left at 3 so they could get a few hours under their belts before the boys woke up. It was a 9 hour drive and we wanted time to explore the mansion, so everyone left early.

Our first stop was Burger King because we aren't Cracker Barrel fancy and also who wants a sit down restaurant while roadtripping? Not this sitting hater.
Adi got my phone...
We stopped at BJ's for gas and potties and sent our own funny shot to Amy's crew.
I found the Route 11 Potato Chip Factory on my roadside attractions app and it was right off the freeway and a very fun stop.
They asked us not to take pictures of the factory part of it, but we got to see the chips being made at all the different stations and then we got a big basket of every flavor to taste test for free. Pretty sweet!
It was funny to see everyones dot making their merry way down to Tazwell.
We found a Buc-ee's on our way and we were so excited that Quinn was a first timer! Needless to say, she loved it! She also loved my brand of roadtripping and stopping. It is a superior way to roadtrip. 😉
Except that I reminded Amy about the roadside attractions app and she also stopped a lot. This giant cootie was on my list too, but the chip factory won out.
We arrived at the house around 4 and explored and stretched and Matt did some job stuff.
We sent Damian and Christian to Food Lion for dinner groceries and welcomed everyone when they arrived. We played games that night and compared roadtrip notes and planned our next day of roadtripping.
