Kpop demon hunters is “the best movie ever made,” according to Delaney. It is all the rage with the 4-17 crowd in our family, and most of the US actually. The songs are catchy.
Two miracles happened today. I needed to go shopping so I was gathering all the things and grabbed my purse to have ready on the bench. I had found a dime in the book (the catch all junk place) and I’m trying to take care of all the little things I’ve gone blind to, so I went to put it in my wallet only it wasn’t there. When I know I’ll be at church all day I leave my wallet under the seat in the car and since Adi’s driving the silver bullet to school, Matt’s officially taken over the space car and I’m back to the jolly green, which feels weird but that’s another story. Matt had the space car (and my wallet) at work. I’m so grateful to have realized the wallet issue before I was at the checkout counter.
Miracle #2. When we ordered our cabinets *checks notes* back in December we opened a Lowe’s card and long story short I have a credit on it. So I was looking for it to buy our cabinet knobs and also the last few door knobs we’re switching over from brass, (see above finishing things I’ve gone blind to) but couldn’t find it. I looked in all my places and Matt’s places and I was stumped. I got online to report it lost and was prompted to check my wallet one more time, (I’d gotten my wallet back by this time, obviously) but it still wasn’t in there. I went to check with Matt one more time, and show him the pic of what the card looked like, and his wallet was sitting on his desk. I said, let me check your wallet one more time too, and there she was. I believe in miracles and am trying to pay more attention, so there you have it
When I did get my wallet back I ran all the errands. Dropped things at the thrift store, convenience center, and church, talked to yet another Lowe’s manager about our cabinets, got gas, free Crumbl cookies, Harris Teeter (for their weekend coupon), and finally Aldi. I got home in the 10 minute window between Adi and Delaney so I had help with groceries. π
It was actually pretty warm today so Delaney happily went to the pool with me before dinner since Frankie was still at practice and we had family night after dinner.
We only have a few more days with our pool and I’m gonna be so sad when it closes.
I made dinner and a family night dessert and we finally were able to do fathers blessings, Delaney taught a cute lesson on the word of wisdom, and Adi had us play one of our fun new (to us) YouTube name that song/movie/tv show games where they show you a tiny clip and you guess what it’s from. It was a good one.
I took one picture today and it was of my German chocolate poke cake. Pretty tasty.
And then, since I’ve been staying up way too late, we all went to bed at the same time at 9:00. Pretty sure I was asleep by 9:30, which is why I was awake by 4:00. π« Why old lady traits, why??? π
Also, I just remembered one more miracle. The other day Delaney asked when dance starts again because she’s excited. She’s excited! She said even though she knows it will be hard she can’t wait. This is an answer to prayers for this little sour patch girl. Miracles abound.
