The second floor of our Dollywood house had 5 bedrooms all around, and then a huge gameroom in the middle. There was a pool table, ping pong, air hockey, and several arcade games. The problem was, a) those were our bedrooms, b) the games were loud, and c) the kids loved them.
We loaded up as few cars as we could and headed to Dollywood!
First stop - sweet bread!
We got there before the park opened so we had time for pictures.
I've wanted to go to Dollywood for so long and it was very exciting!
We walked around with the littles crew. This picture cracks me up with pappy riding the zebra and Carter sitting alone on the bench behind him. 😂 Carter is afraid of many things.
Bob chose a dragon, obviously.
A group rode this crazy ride and then half of them were like, why did I do that?
This is about Carter's speed.
Emmett liked the bigger rides, so I hung out with Hannah and Judah, who didn't even like Carter's rides, while everyone else rode some bigger rides.
I'd stand and wave and everytime he came around the corner he'd take one hand quickly off the wheel and wave at me and then promptly grab the wheel again.
The littles crew and I rode the loudest, smokiest, cinder flying steam train and Henry *hated* it. I held him like this protecting his ears the whole ride. He's such a good boy, he didn't cry, but he did not like it.
Emmett is super impressive! He's so brave!
I love raft rides!
They're fun because it's all a gamble if you get wet or not.
I did not, and I was pretty happy. A little wet, but my skirt was flowy and it dried quickly.
We had big plans that night so we left early but we stopped at the Emporium to check the souvies first. I was torn between 2 sweatshirts so I tried them both on and got pictures.
I'll leave it a mystery which one I got. I can't wait for sweater weather to be able to wear it!
So many fun steps walked.
That night we got all dressed up in our western wear and hit The Stampede!
Sweet Henry started to get a fever this night, which probably contributed to this look during the pictures.
Some people understood the assignment better than others. I, for example, did buy some country style tshirts and wore them to the park and to the Stampede.
The food was actually really good! Everyone got a little fryer chicken, biscuit, corn on the cob, mashed potatos, and brisket.
The show was cheesy as heck, but so fun! And we were on the North side, and we won, so that was even more fun. It was like Medieval Times meets the rodeo. We loved it, and our new song of the summer is Love is Like a Butterfly by Miss Dolly Parton. 😂
After dinner we dropped people off and went to Walmart for baby ibuprofen and nyquil because several people were starting to feel a little ick, including me.
