Next up was the Coquille River light.
She's in a state park/campground in Bandin, Oregon. There were tons of campers biking around, it would be an awesome place to stay.
This little cutie is open as a gift shop and we were able to get our pins for David to make into magnets.
She just needs a little tlc and she'll be all better.
Laura convinced me to walk all the way around her, over the big rocks where the waves crashed.
It sure was beautiful, I'm glad we did.
Sadly the tour was closed for climbing.
So we'll have to visit and climb her another day.
We really couldn't have asked for better weather, it was chilly, but beautiful.
After we climbed all over the rocks everyone else decided they could too.
So then we were able to get some non-selfie pictures, always a bonus.
We were still right on schedule by this point. It's been a long while since we'd done any lighthousing, so we were so happy all weekend! It was fabulous.
There was the sweetest smell around this light! I've never smelled it before and it was amazing. We think it was this plant, and I would love to know what it is!
And finally - Laura's fancywork.
Nutcracker!
