First we played some dress up.
And as a side note, it had been a terrible morning. I seriously just wanted to crawl back into bed. You know the kind.
then, walking into the museum, Delaney put her elbow out of the stroller and scratched off a big scab she'd gotten on Sunday. Blood dripping, girl crying, frazzled mommy. Thankfully the day got better from there.
We hung out in there for awhile and then went out to the cute, colorful chairs for some lunch in the garden.

As the girls meandered while we ate, they were already starting to find these cute fairy houses.
Ann Marie Gardens has tons of sculptures on loan from the hirshhorn museum that they place all around their gardens. And then each year they take fairy house submissions from people and groups, and they hide them all around the gardens.
Our girls couldn't have cared less about the sculptures, (no matter how many times I tried to tak about them) but they loved the fairy houses!
And climbing on Stonehenge-like structures is pretty fun too.
Always ready with a pose!
Adorable fairy house! We had to keep reminding the girls not to touch.
This was a climbing structure to symbolize all the different twists and turns of life. The girls loved running up and down the ramps.
I am so happy that Adeline is starting to like Frankie! Because Frankie loves her so much!
LOVE these pictures! Our unmatched pair. (:
Cute girls with a cute fairy house.
This was a cute little flying fairy house. I'm planning to make one of these with our activity girls and maybe one with our family too. Looks so fun!
They had this awesome play house about halfway through the path and the girls had so much fun playing on it. Would love to have this in our backyard!
Franks put on a dance show for us on the stage.
Addie and Abby worked for a long time to get that full sized Adirondack chair into this little playhouse.
We were on a schedule, so we let them play for awhile and then had to gather the crew to head up to Cove Point Lighthouse before they closed at 4. We've made it to all 5 of the southern Maryland lights this summer! Cha-Ching! Sadly, this is as far as we're allowed up the stairs. Ask any of the girls why, they each asked about 10 thousand times.
Two years ago they finished renovating the keepers quarters into a vacation rental. They are so cute and so $$$.
The volunteer was very sweet with the girls and let the little lighthouse keepers ring the fog bell. We watched their little movie, stamped our passports, the girls chose a fossil, and we closed the joint down.
Next stop for the Rays of light was Calvert cliffs for a late in the week FHE.
I also wanted the gang to check out Christian's awesome eagle project.
Matt picked up Roy Rogers for dinner, L&C met us there, and we ate a picnic table. As soon as we started walking to head down to the cliffs, it started raining.
Because I love a good adventure, I was good to keep going.
But the troops weren't so easily convinced. Matt finally called it, and after about a quarter of a mile, we headed back. Before we did though, we had a quick FHE. Addie taught a cute lesson on faith and we sang I hope they call me on a Mission. It would have been nicer without the rain, but it was still nice.
Addie made good use of our Ann Marie Gardens stickers. (:
The party never stops, and that night was jen's chocolate baby shower. Alecia is so creative! We played several chocolate games, did a chocolate hand scrub, and these 5 brave ladies did a chocolate mask. Because we like to have fun. And our skin was positively glowing afterwards.
As good as a spa. (:

They gave us maps with fairy house locations and sculpture information that Frankie perused.
Then at the end of the path, they had this cool little kid play area. So cute!Franks put on a dance show for us on the stage.
