Weird Al

Frankie gave a talk the next day (9/21). She spoke about tithing and did such a good job our kids have always been independent talk writers and lesson planners, which is good and bad. Good that they do it willingly and on their own and bad because I never know what they’re going to say, and more than once it could have been better with some parental love.

I think talks should include at least 3 things - a scripture, a story or quote from a modern prophet or leader, and a personal experience. Bonus points for an invitation. Anyways, Frankie did great and I was very impressed. And I’m grateful that our bishopric knows and respects my schedule enough to know the only safe day for my kids to speak is a 3rd Sunday. We’ve gone through lots of dates trying to make that work. ❤️

The next morning I walked with Alecia and then met up with Lana for lunch. Two of my favorites in one day, lucky me. Mondays are busy days, but this one was made even more busy because we had tickets to see Weird Al in Richmond with Dan and Chantell. Adi took care of the piano run and picking Frankie up from her football game (the second and last one I missed) and carpool buddy Miss Clair picked Delaney up and dropped her off. D hates carpool, but it is so convenient!

The concert was fun and as silly as you’d assume. It was a lovely night together.

And I saw this and really, why is my mouth always so lonely?
