9/11-9/14

I saw the boys off to school then headed out Thursday morning September 11th.
I’m turning into Smilin’ Jack with all my driving pictures, there’s just so much beauty all around.
During a dance run I Hobby Lobby’d it for this viral advent calendar. I’m a sucker for viral decor.
I was chatting with Damian one morning about home projects and yard work and he said “I just don’t want to buy a rake this year.” And I thought to myself, buy the boy a rake! And then I told Lu and we laughed about how buying a rake on top of all their other home projects just felt like a bridge too far.
Anywho, I didn’t get to Lowe’s while I was in SC, but did send the boy a rake.
We had a stake and mission coordination meeting that Sunday and RS was in charge of refreshments, so I must have spent Saturday preparing. Sarah made a few things and I made spinach dip, veggies and ranch, smores cups, and pumpkin cream cheese muffins. I know the details of our snacks don’t matter but I love food sooooo…

The meeting went well and I only kicked myself for one thing I should have said but didn’t. Win.
After, I left the Calvert building and went right up to a hotel near BWI for Grandpas Honor Flight Banquet. The crew had met them earlier and spent some time with Ken and Grandpa and Dan and Zoe drove up too so I was so glad I could make it.
It was tender because we spent the weekend with my dad for his honor flight a few years ago. So glad they were both able to be appreciated that way. And my weird face is on account of... maybe food in my mouth?
It was a late night and maybe we skipped seminary the next morning? Who can remember? I do remember that Dan and Zoe followed us home to spend the night with us before joining Ken and Grandpa for their final day in DC.

And finally, some smirkin' Ruby cuteness, even though this was 2 months ago and she looks so much bigger now!
