Today we had a catch-up presidency meeting, and surprisingly it only lasted 2 hours. I love working with Tracie, Chelsea, and Sarah, it’s been such a joy and blessing.
The kids finagled a play date out of it. Sarah kept the 9 year old crew, and i got the little sisters. D and Gracie checked in on the fairies.
Later, dad texted to see what we were up to, and this is what this one was doing. Computer time is a lot of work.
I also made them clean off their dressers, and D was willing to let go of her ceramic lollipop with the broken stick she made in art. We took some pictures, thanked it, and tossed it.
Yesterday was a good day. It’s been mild and cool, and we met up with friends at the park for 5 hours of playtime where I took 0 pictures. It was so nice to catchup with friends, and the kids didn’t bother us at all. We had subs for dinner, but Matt had already eaten some. He didn’t want to let us eat alone though, so he cane up with the most random bowl ever. Lunch meat, tomato, cheese, picked, and chips. I guess it was just a sub without the bread now that I think about it. It looked really weird in the bowl anyway.
Then it was playtime part 2. Chelsea invited a big group to the beach for fhe.
Our beach babies loved it, even though it was not warm. For reference, we were in sweaters.
Chelsea even brought a fire pit and s’mores fixins, it was so nice.
The elders were in charge of the s’mores, which was also nice to not have to mess with that.
I did, however manage to get marshmallow in my fro, so I still got to mess with enough. ๐
Love these ladies!
We’ve got a pretty special crew.
I guess s’mores can be shocking?
They are silly, good girls.
Then the elders pulled up their trouser legs and waded in the water, because it was such high tide, and they gave us a wonderful lesson.
It was a special night. Calm and peaceful and with such good friends.
These little weirdos.
They are hilarious.
We’re making the most out of our last few days of summer!
