Cousins and friends

A day at church in Utah. V bright. We walked the 1/4 mile to the church, a first for all of us, Mc’s included.

Laney loves Blue. She almost makes me willing to agree to a dog. But just almost.

We had friends to see, but first the Salt Lake temple grounds.

We love the Visitors Centers.

Delaney is such a picture cut up lately.

A nice tourist offered to take our pic and she did some fun things with the panoramic setting. You learn something new every day!

The girls had puttered around after church, so we didn’t have as much time as we would have liked at the temple.

We love the spirit at these temples. 💕

We watched our time and hit the road because we had people to meet!

Meanwhile in Oregon... 😍

And in South Africa, these adventurers were adventuring.

More Oregon cuteness.

And more South African awesomeness.

Meanwhile back in Utah, we met up with our New Mexico friends at the park. It was ridiculously hot, so we cooled off at Tcby. I asked Frankie to take pictures and she made us into an advertisement. And then we laughed and laughed. 😂

From there we headed north to Matt’s cousins home in North Salt Lake. But first, the Bountiful temple.

At every temple Frankie talks about how maybe this is the one where she’ll get married. And at every historic site, maybe that’s the one where she’ll serve a mission.

We really do love to see the temple! Also, it was weird being there without Addie.

Every time I’m in Utah I reach out to Matt’s aunt Jeannie, and this time it turned out that there was a big family dinner at Matt’s cousins house. It was so nice to meet them and the kids played so well together.

The dinner was to celebrate birthdays, and these two cute cousins became bag people. Because that’s what 7 year olds do.

The kids played and the adults talked and I got to know everyone. I got to hear stories about Sheri Dew being their Stake Relief society president and Elder Uchtdorf, Stephenson, and President Nelson being in their stake as well. About seeing Harriet and Dieter walk their dogs, and President Nelson’s giant home. Definitely not the kind of stake I’m used to. 😂

Silly cousins.

Frankie has fun with the boys her age, but this mini cousin was her fav.

They were wonderful and we stayed for hours catching up on all the things. And then as we left, we got another gift. Heavenly Father loves us!

We drove by the Bountiful temple again to see it lit up, and we looked and looked for Harriet and Dieter, but no luck.

Also, these two love each other and have since before D was born.
