friday night was matt's companies annual party at the blue crabs. we always get 7 tickets and usually one of the big kids brings a friend along, and one stays home. this year lexi won. chris and brenna went to see the new jurassic movie.

lex and tito took the little girls to play at the playground. after about 20 minutes, matt went to relieve them. while they were gone, pinch, came to our little area for pictures. lexi wouldn't take a pic with me, so tito did. then lexi set this as my screen saver. she's so fun!

we've enjoyed going to this party every year. here's addie enjoying some fun back in 2013.

as lex, tito, and i were enjoying the game, over the loudspeaker they said "will michelle way please come to guest services?" i was like... is that me? did i win something, but could they not read my writing? but then i didn't sign up for anything. the stadium is so small that you can clearly see the playground from where we were sitting, and i saw matt rush to a little booth, and then grab only 2 girls and leave. so then i was pretty sure they were calling me, and headed over to guest services. i was thinking probably one of the girls had gotten hurt, but when matt and i arrived at the same time, i saw that frankie was in the room with 2 police officers and a blue crab employee. she'd gotten lost. matt picked her up and she started crying. bless her heart, she held it together until we'd found her, then she lost it. when i held her, i found that she'd had a #2 accident, so i took her to the bathroom and got her all cleaned up. lexi came to bring me diapers (no extra undies for my 5 yo) and wipes, and on the way back to our seats we took a pic. frankie was still a little upset, but i just kept telling her how proud of her we were, that she did exactly what we'd taught her to do, and she was so good and safe.

they'd all been playing and frankie had to go potty. she looked around for me (funny, because i hadn't been over there with them) and when she couldn't find me, a little friend she'd been playing with took her to his dad, and the dad and frankie found a police officer. then she told them her mommy's name was "michelle way" (gotta love the speech impediment!) and that's how it all went down.

daddy took everybody to get ice cream after our harrowing experience. tito was being funny by blocking lexi.

it had been stiflingly hot all day, but as soon as we got there it cooled down considerably, a cool breeze started blowing, and it became a very pleasant evening.

she cleaned her ice cream cup and wore it. :)

after the 7th inning they had fireworks. they put on a nice fireworks show!

delaney didn't freak out! she didn't like the noise, but she liked the fireworks.

everyone was mesmerized.

addie hurt her arm at the pool on wednesday, so she's been holding it like this since then. it's just a scab, she's just aftraid to bend it.

it was such a fun game, probably one of my favorites ever. our blue crabs won, the ride home was nice and quick, and everyone went to bed easily. perfect. :)
