my mom made other cookies but i only made chocolate chip with her. you need chocolate chips, salt, and i don't know. you mix it with a spoon. then you put it in the oven. take it out of the oven then you let it dry. then the cookies are done.
pretty much nailed it. isn't that adorable?! i love it. :)
we've had the loveliest springy days! sunday was 60° and beautiful. i woke up with a nauseous headache. i took a shower and sat down to look over my lesson and just felt so gross. i took an ibuprofen and laid down for a few minutes and my world kept spinning. so i made a few texts and covered my class. then i got the girls ready and started feeling better. i really didn't want to miss church, but it's such a hard call to make at 8 o'clock in the morning. i finally rallied and figured if i felt sick i'd go lay in the car. such a spaz. but i made it and felt better all the rest of the day.
the day was so beautiful that we headed out for a walk/bike ride after church. after a few trips up and down lg parkway, we picked up the benzies and headed to the park.
the girls were so excited to finally play! look at that big brave girl!
these were some happy ladies.
matt was at work and chris stayed home with delaney while she napped, then he brought her up when she woke up. it was a muddy mess, but worth it to get such nice fresh air.
i tried to teach the girls how to blow bubbles with their gum. it will take some time. :)
we had a rowdy and fun fhe that night. addie and i made chocolate strawberry shortcake. frankie had the game, so we played pictionary. i told them not to tell anyone what they were gonna draw. frankie said "i won't," and then she whispered (in a 4-year-old whisper that's not quiet) "it's just a whale." haha, fun game. ;) laney was in charge of the music, so i asked her what we should sing. she thought for a minute and said "baby you're a firework?" no katie perry there, lanes, pick a church song.
on monday i pta'd. we only had 3 deposits and no checks that had cleared, so it was so easy! of course, i still haven't worked on the check register or quicken, so that's awesome, but for now, we're smooth sailing. :) finally.
and for lunch lanes decided to give herself a yogurt bath. she be crazy.
the big girls started a new session of gymnastics. frankie is in the level 1 class now, so for the next few monthes ads and franks are together. sweet convenience! i also found a new carpool buddy and the kids are in mad love with her vehicular situation. she's got a brand new, luxuriously spacious minivan with a dvd player, and a bag full of books for the girls to read on their way. they can't wait until her next turn to drive. i feel like such a disappointment.
since the big girls were basically gone from 12 till we had to leave for my pta meeting at 5:30, (minus the few minutes between school and gymnastics) i got to hang out with my lil' buddy most of the day. we went to the dentist (=no nap) and then to the school for my meeting. unfortunately, little buddy is not the best whisperer, so she was quite the distraction at our meeting. thankfully we have the loosest, lamest pta evah, so no one cared. ha. when laney tries to whisper, nothing comes out, she just moves her mouth. it's pretty funny. so then she just talks full volume. which isn't pretty funny.
this morning delaney started a new session of gymnastics. probably our last mommy and me, but maybe not. i'm in this strange place where i'm excited that the girls are getting bigger and also trying to desperately hold on to my baby for as long as i can.
diaper wedgies (on 3 year olds:/) are always in fashion. little miss loves to be a pencil and star, and she loves her the jumping jacks that go with it. she performed all her gymnastics tricks for matt, chris, and i tonight. she's a hoot.
we love gymnastics.
such a big little nerdie.
speaking of nerdies, the red coats are coming!
so fun to see these sisterly best friend relationships forming.
i had laney pose in front of our house to show how much snow is left. it's almost all gone now. thankfully. it's march, i'm ready for tulips, not icicles.
after addie's piano lesson (johnna is fabulous and says addie is such a quick learner) we grabbed a pizza from ledo's to support teacher appreciation week. bath time and bed time and the day is done for the littles. but you know what they say about a mothers work.
oh, and addie has requested a calendar for her birthday. that way she can write down other peoples birthdays and remember them. she's so off the wall, i love it.
oh, and christian not only made the track team, but was also picked to be the captain. go, bubba!
