Our goal for Wednesday was to eat our last free buffet, get mani/pedis, walk the strip, and go see our super secret show! Done.
We got to the tram station before 9 (early birds!) and quick footed it over to the Monterrey bay for a lukewarm buffet. definitely not my fav, but we came up with some serious new solutions to some of life's problems, so it was a good morning after all.
After breakfast we made good on our 24-hour-bus pass one last time and hopped on the deuce to go all the way down to the stratosphere. We didn't go up the stratosphere, just watched the rides off the top and got some pics.
We wanted to be frugal with our mani/pedis, so i got on yelp and looked at reviews and picked the best one for 1 $. It was just a mile off the strip near the stratosphere, which is the direction of the strip that we hadn't walked yet, so perfect, right? So wrong! We walked through a scary neighborhood complete with "fantasy clubs" and when we finally got to the nail place it was d-to-the-irty! We decided to drop that place like it was hot, but found several other places close by. The second one we found was closed, and the third one was not available for several hours. Things go so much slower when you're walking too. Like, 2 miles away, that's not bad. Until you're walking in a dirty area of Las Vegas. 😳
We finally walked back to the strip and found a semi decent place right near where we'd gotten off the bus that morning. Haha, the irony. What a waste of a few hours. Thankfully we were both good sports and kept things fun. (:
We had to backtrack a little bit to check out Circus Circus. We walked through their retro casino to the trapeze show and got there right as it was starting, it was perfect. And crazy, the acrobatics are crazy!
This was also where one of the ticket salesmen told us we looked like hip hop mommas. Hahaha, hip hop mommas, that's right! 77 years and 7 kids between these two hip hop mommas.
Treasure island is so cute! We've both seen the pirate show, so we didn't feel the need to wait for it, but the casino is awesome.
And the Venetian. We walked all through the mall with the canal in it.
When I cut my hair short last year my big kids hated it. They made fun of me (sniff) and told me I looked like Johnny depp, which doesn't even really make sense, but whateva. So when we saw captain jack sparrow we had to get a pic with him. I sent this to the kids and said "same hair!" And they laughed and laughed.
When we opened our mystery show envelope from Kristi we found tickets to see Menopause the Musical. We were definitely surprised!
We were a little perplexed as to why she would buy us tickets to that, because it's not really anything that would ever interest either of us. But then we realized that Kristi was being funny since Amy is turning 40 and all.
This is a continuously running, 550 foot tall, 40 person per pod, Ferris wheel style observation wheel. And it was scary!
But very cool. I hope I will always push myself to do things that terrify me. It's only scary for most of the time. (; I get used to it and then it's manageable. I was very thankful our pod only had about 10 people in it. When they walked around, the pod shook a little, so I can't imagine what it would have felt like with 40 people in there!

We grabbed burgers from harrah's and then went upstairs to our show. We were, by far, the youngest people in there. That is definitely my crowd, you know from lighthousing and all, but the show was so bad. Seriously so bad. Maybe it will be funny in a few years? It's funny that we went, I guess. (:
After our awesome vegas show, we went over to the High Roller, the worlds largest observation wheel. This is a continuously running, 550 foot tall, 40 person per pod, Ferris wheel style observation wheel. And it was scary!

We walked through the Parisian and then back to our hotel for the night. 'Twas a good and busy last day!
