we had curtis and emma over on wednesday, and emma was ready for a nap. i took her into delaney's room and rocked her until she was sleepy enough to lay down, and delaney happened to walk by. she looooves emma, but she was still kind of like, hey wait, that's my chair, my bed, and my mom...

after ballet quick trip to the library. these two are so twinning.

that afternoon was soooo nice, so i pulled out a blanket and threw it on the front lawn.

examining her fruit snacks. addie is her mothers daughter and decided we needed snacks. she brought out cheezits, wheat thins, pretzels, drinks, and fruit snacks.

we had a great afternoon. crystal, ashby, ainsley, and arden migrated over and they drew and played. then matt got home and smoked my booty at a jump rope contest. who knew he was so proficient? he even criss-crosses them. i was so impressed.

unlce james sent this pic that rayleigh drew of alexis. she's a cheerleader in fancy boots. adorbs. i love that they remember each other and hope that we can get together frequently enough that they'll all continue to know one another. cousins are important!

on party day i asked addie to go up and check on delaney, who had been eerily quiet for a little bit too long. she came down reporting a tragedy. laney had gotten into lexi's nail polish and painted all over herself. and other places. i had to put her in her room and walk away. she's too much, this two year old girl. the next morning i told her i needed a picture of her legs and she didn't want me to take one. she knows it was a bad choice!

after the baseball game and before the easter egg hunt the girls played in the sand box on the front porch. (the sand we had used to excavate dino's at the party) now it looks like a beach volleyball court. yikes stripes, they are messy! we'll leave it for a few days until i can't stand it, and then it'll be moved to the back until all the sand is gone. hours of fun!
