today was a big dental day. 5/7 of us had our bi-annual cleanings.
4/5 of us had perfectly sparkling, problem free teeth.
can you guess the weakest link?
if you guessed the grown woman in charge of the whole operation, you would be correct.
i.hate.my.teeth.
in my defense, i have a very old filling that needs replaced and there's just a tiny spot that they could fill, or they could leave, but since i'll be all numbed up anyway, i said let's just do it. i'm sure it would need to be done eventually. :(
on a positive note: my teeth do their job and, other than a few snaggle teeth on the bottom, they are pretty straight. there now. gratitude.
(for my awful, awful set)
miss frog was first! she did fabulously and thoroughly enjoyed her strawberry tooth polish... until addie chose blueberry. guess what flavor she'll be choosing next time?
(speaking of flavors, i think i will be choosing marshmallow. the other hygienist was totally pushing it on her patient, but i felt silly asking mine if i could try it. big girl loves marshmallows, so next time i will :)
i think there is something so cute and vulnerable about little feet laying down.
the girls act like they own the place and walk between the rooms checking on everyone's progress, just like i do.
next up was addie, who sadly told the hygienist that she had no, she did not have any loose teeth. a lot of her friends have already lost at least one, and she feels the sting of being one of the last. kindergarten probz.
she's such a snazzy lil' dresser though.
some waiting room fun.
the big girl.
who refuses to entertain the idea of either pulling a certain snaggle tooth, or of wearing braces (again) to fix it. dr. hawkins has been telling her for years that she needs to take care of it, but she won't. and as i have chosen to choose my battles, a pretty harmless snaggle tooth won't be one of them, thank you kindly.
and 'da boy. it's cute to hear him as he proudly works his upcoming travel plans into every conversation. "am i taking any medications? well yes, actually, i am taking malaria pills..." these boys are pretty excited for their trip!
speaking of excited. i am on day 2 (woohoo!) of my cleaning schedule and it makes me so happy. a freshly polished/vacuumed/cleaned out room is soooo lovely, isn't it?
this evening little miss senior and i headed out for a marathon photo session with neighbor jodie. i took a few with my phone, just to document the whole thing.
so true!
alexis was a very dedicated model and jodie a very dedicated photographer! that's slightly muddy grass there! and it was pretty chilly, but neither model nor photographer complained.
i am so excited to see how they turn out!
beauty hurts. and sometimes looks incredible awkward.
greenwell park was absolutely gorgeous. definitely a day to look around and be grateful for all that God has created! i am so blessed to live in this beautiful place.
in other exciting news, mama has a job. it's just a little work from home temp job with google, but it's been kind of a fun challenge. hopefully i am up to the task!
