Yesterday was the big day! We woke up early and got the last of our tasks done so by 8:00 we were ready to roll. But then nobody showed up till 9:00. 😂 We were so excited and it then it was anticlimactic for awhile.
But the carpet guys showed up and Matt made friends with them and was able to go behind them and vacuum everything up. If you’d like a long convo, ask him how much dirt he vacuumed. I tease, but I’m grateful he works so hard to make sure things are done right.
Because i figured let’s get all the things done on the same day, the littler girls went to the dr for a checkup.
We stayed masked up the whole time and everyone looks great and healthy. They are limiting the number of people they’ll allow in, so i had to schedule Addie another day. Frankie is 69lbs and Delaney is 51.
We really like Dr. Ingard. She listens to all their chatter and all of Delaney’s hypochondriac worries and she’s really good with them.
By the time we got home Joey had fixed the family room wall. Now just to paint the wall and baseboard. Again.
We also had a fun surprise for the girls - auntie Allie and Tenkor cane in from New Orleans. Apple is closed and she lives alone, so she came to spend some time with us. Tenkor has nipped at 4/6 of us, so that’s not the most fun, but we’re hoping she warms up to us soon and feels more comfortable and safe. She was a rescue and she’s super protective and nervous. My dad got pizza for everybody for dinner aaaand we didn’t take any pictures.
This morning alli et al made biscuits and they were yummy.
We slowly started putting things back together, worked, tutored, and played some games. While I tutored in our room, Matt went into our amazingly fresh and and newly carpeted closet and took a nap. 😂 I mean, that’s a nice closet, right?
Alli and I menu planned and went shopping and as is often true on shopping days, didn’t make any dinner. D did enjoy her pb/Nutella bananas though.
We watched half of Hamilton because Alli hasn’t seen it on Disney yet and isn’t totally sold. After half of it tonight she’s still not sure. But we’re working on it.
