Frankie loved watching the changing of the guard and the wreath laying. She asked to stay even after the other girls were ready to go, so matt took them, and I stayed with froggie.
While we hiked up to the eternal flame we saw an eagle chilling on a tombstone. Then we saw him fly away on our way back.
Bright sun.
The girls really loved exploring. When we were done, we picnicked at Ft. Myers and then headed to meet up with the vets.
The last stop of the Honor Flight tour was the Air Force Memorial, another new one for us.
We got there before the vet busses, so we watched from the top and waved when we spotted the busses.
Papa brought us souvies! The girls love their monkeys!
I was able to take this picture of all the vets, all the guardians, and all the volunteers. What a group!
Chris is talking about joining the Air Force next year, so papa wanted me to take this pic of him to send to Cade.
3 generations. 💕
At the airport we were able to get a pass to go back to the gate with the vets. D borrowed daddy’s belt when he had to take it off going through scrutiny.
Matt made lots of friends all weekend and was very sweet with all the vets.
The girls looove having a captive and adoring audience.
Grandparents are pretty bomb. Chris introduced papa to Trivia Crack and they enjoyed it all weekend.
They perfected their handshake.
Buddies.
And finally, it was time to say goodbye for real.
Loves all around.
And as an awesome bonus, my dad sent me this diddy from the Space Museum. He’s so cute! (even if the ‘stache isn’t 😂)

What an adventure, eh!?! What a memory!! Loved having you all there and hate good-byes. Thank you for coming and joining with us.
Whoa, an eagle!! How cool was that!! Too bad you didn't have a 'real' camera to get up close and personal (from a distance) to Ol' Mr. Eagle.
