it's teacher in-service day so we have a day off from school. bubba had to work and daddy is off big schloss'ing with the ym. the rest of us lazed the morning away playing, watching tv, and couponing.
we finally made our way out to our 1st stop - the library.
we got a giant pile of black eyed susan books, Halloween books, 1st readers, chapter books, and movies.
we love our ghetto library. it makes me sad that the new one won't be built for many years to come, years after my littles will be done with story times. but then they'll be able to walk there themselves and I guess that will be good too.
we had a full day planned. next was a quick'ish stop at mc's to print some coupons, cvs, target, home to pick up something for bubba, cvs again, crabknockers, and then pizza hut to redeem our free personal pan pizza's from addie's book-it reading challenge.
we dropped off a picture from the annual crab crews day on the water that chris had framed for his boss. sweet boy. the girls wanted to check out the back of the house at crabknockers.
we left pizza hut just as it started to rain, it was nearly perfect.
I had let each of the girls pick a treat from target for our girls movie night. d got reese's, franks mini m&m's, ad's chewy jolly ranchers, and I got paydays. and red vines. to share.
first movie up is alice through the looking glass. d says "i just love happy endings." next will be Barbie and her sisters in a puppy chase. after that we'll play by ear, but we do have a few movies from the library for just in case. i'm pretty sure it will be bedtime though. s'been a good day!
