not-a-lot-a

there are not many exciting things going on lately. no more summer adventures for now. although returning to schedules is kind of exciting to me. :)

on sunday we like to play Mormon Messages for the kids. we watched one about a surfer, and our little surfer girls got super excited and started "surfing" on the couches.

she's got pretty good form. and don't mind the mess.

on sunday we churched it up, and then that night we all headed to the church for standards night. chris, who has been hanging out with sam, brian, and Robbie a lot lately, was late. :/ at least he came though, right?

Delaney and I walked home from school with kim and chloe on Monday. we walked to their house where we picked some apples off their tree. one of the branches took revenge on poor laney's face. :(

chris is studying the old testament in seminary this year, and they made "creation" cupcakes on Monday. pretty fun. :)

we had ellie, adeline, and alexis over to play on Monday. in between caring for 4 little girls, I made dinner for a neighbor who broke her knee. busy messes ensued. poor adeline was not a fan of us after about an hour, so we hung out till just after lunch when sarah came to rescue her. she'll learn to love us.

I am way behind on laundry, so laney wore these super warm pajammies Monday night. the next morning addie said, "oh laney, you look so cute! take a picture of her, mommy!" so in between egg and bagel making, I did. we love us some footie pajammies up in here.

Tuesday was lady lanes first day of kindergym 1! it doesn't start till 11:30, so we had a nice target stop first. we found addie, Frankie, matt, and my picture outfits there.

who doesn't love target shopping? not us.

Delaney did great at gymnastics! she loved it! I was worried how she would do without me going in the gym with her, but she rocked it.

she was a little silly and did some running around while she was supposed to be in line, but other than that, good stuff.

after gym, we hit up marshalls, where we found Delaney's picture outfit, and this little Halloween ditty. that's the tastiest cupcake I ever did see!

Tuesday also brings piano. we've switched from every other week, to every week now. it's a lot. but we'll get used to it. :) it was so dreadfully hot that we decided on an impromptu pool session that night and invited friends. (pics to come)

lastly, we are still loving walking/riding to/from school. I am looking forward to cooler September/October temperatures, but other than that, our walks are delightful.
