On Saturday, March 28, we went to the annual Easter egg festival. They moved it this year from the governmental center to the fairgrounds, so it was different and new this year.
They had the super heroes of southern Maryland there to take pictures with.
Laney is not in any of these pictures because she does not like characters. See? She is not a fan. Of a lot of things.
It was sooo cold! We decided to take a break and warm up with some crafts. Guess who was in heaven?
While the girls did crafts, I got in the easter bunny line. The gang joined me as we got closer.
Laney guarded her popcorn like a true little sister.
True to her little 3-year-old character, she was not a fan of the Easter bunny. I, being the seasoned mean mommy I am, threw her at the Easter bunny and started snapping. I told the photographer to take a picture quick!
He didn't. He must be on the same train of thought as Matt, which is that we shouldn't be leaving the poor baby crying on the Easter bunnies lap. I think it's good stuff and it reminds me of a little lexi right around that age. But boys.
After our Easter bunny drama, we went over to the fields for the egg hunts. We found a warmish spot near one of the buildings and out of the wind and parked it.
She's sassy but sweet.
Daddy did the hunting with the girls. They each found a nice bunch of eggs, and each won a prize, a nice heroes of southern Maryland poster for the recycle bin. (:
And Grandpa and ads. (:
We were pretty well frozen! It was so cold and windy, we are so ready for spring!
After the egg hunt, we rushed home to get ready for jocy's baptism. It was nice and it's always fun to welcome new members. (:
After the baptism, Sarah and I met up for dinner at Cracker Barrel before women's conference. It was fun to sit and visit, we hadn't gotten to visit much with all the COH planning and grandpa visiting.
After dinner I was able to do a quick target trip and then to the church for a very chilly women's conference. The church has been sooo cold! Thankfully women's conference was good. (:
