seattle post #2 - july 12th-july 17th

this will be quick, cause apparently we didn't do much this week.
matt left on the 12th and the rest of us packed up and moved over to amy's house.
(gotta spread the love!)

one day that week we went over to one of my bestie's sara's house for the day.
they made us lunch and dinner and spoiled us all day.
lauri and fam (another bestie!) came for dinner and it was an all around fabulous day.
one that, unfortunately we didn't take any pictures of. :(
but addie played with cute lily and lexi played with cute katherine, lauren, and vicki.
we stayed way too late and had a wonderful time.
we promised to get together again, sans children and hubbies, but alas, as often happens during seattle visits, we never did. :(

also:
*lexi had one of her bestie's shannon over for a few days.
*i met grandpa ray at the temple for an early morning session.
*harry potter movie night #2 (for us marylanders).

and then there was the little half marathon.
amy signed us up for a half marathon before we both found out we were preggo. :)
we didn't take any pictures, which is probably a good thing cause we weren't pretty.

we ended up running the first 2 1/2 miles and then walked the rest. :)
amy wanted to run again later, but my knee started hurting.
it started around mile 4. just a dull ache at first, but it got progressively worse until i really thought about quitting right around mile 9.

i pulled it together (barely!) and we managed to finish just minutes under the allotted 4 hours.
(seriously, like 3 minutes under, but we still made it!)
we were so fast!
to be fair, we both peed probably 10 times and there were lots of lines. at least at the beginning when we were sort of with the pack there were.

we went to lunch right after, went home and each took a 10 minute ice bath (not as bad as you would think), and then n-a-p. i seriously could barely walk. i couldn't bend my knee at all. it was pretty painful.
BUT, i did it. and i will do it again.
and there's lots of room for improvement, so that will be fun
and that concludes week 2.
(as much as i can remember at least)
