on the sunday before memorial day, our neighborhood had a picnic. we stopped by to visit with neighbors for awhile. it was sup-ah hot, but a good time.

and of course, most important to me, the food. ;)
then on memorial day monday, both of the wards in our area get together for a huge picnic at a park close to our house. there's always tons of yummy food and it's always so hot! but fun!

we brought our canopy but then didn't really need it because the area we had was so shady. so christian took over and set it up as a haven for the teen/tween crowd relaxing between basketball games.
after a short break addie begged for another ride.
this time we decided to let frankie go for a ride with one of the horse owners.
surprisingly, she didn't love it. ;)
after the picnic, the reid kids came over for some swimming in our new neighborhood pool. after some swimming, the big girls made popcorn and the babies loved it! i just couldn't resist making them pose for some cute sisterly pictures. they have 3 girls and 1 boy in their family too.

and that was our memorial day weekend. :)
