still behind on blogging. but getting caught up on some other things. that's because my daddy came to visit us today! hooray! so i did the typical "before a guest comes crazy cleaning/catch up on projects" that i always do. and i got some projects done (or at least made a dent) and got the house all clean. blogging is starting to feel overwhelming, so i will start with today and work backwards. (and since the pics i wanted didn't upload, and i'm too tired to do it again, no pics.)

this morning i met matt at addie's gymnastics. he stayed with her at gymnastics, and frankie and i left for the 2 hour drive to bwi to pick up papa. we had the worlds easiest trip to the airport. frankie has turned a maaajor corner and has been so good lately! she didn't make a peep the whole time! i hope it lasts!!!

now we're enjoying our visitor. :)

one of the highlights of today was the ride home from church. my dad sat up front and the kids had no one willing to play dj for them. so we listened to de-lil-ah. :) kenny rogers through the years (loooove that song!) came on and the kids both, at the same time, started singing. i love kenny rogers, and i love that my kids will always remember that i love kenny rogers. hopefully whenever they hear kenny, they will think of me. fondly of course.

yesterday was fat tuesday so we had pancakes and bacon and yumminess for dinner. we talked about lent and all the things we should give up. and that's as far as that went.

monday was fun. we had friends over to play all day. then i met matt and we got our taxes done professionally. we'll be getting back what i had estimated, which is very close to the return we got last year using turbo tax. so i think next year we'll be going back to tt. i had wanted to try a professional tax preparer and we did and it's about the same, so now we know. oh and we're looking into an income tax shed and deck. helllo backyard! i'm sorry we've never used you, but we're coming soon! 

after our tax date, we went to our neighborhoods first hoa meeting. i expected loads of drama, but thankfully there wasn't any. everyone was pretty polite, valid issues were discussed, and we are looking forward to our community pool.

on sunday we churched it up. after church and some after church meetings, we finally watched the new alice in wonderland. i liked it. but addie kept saying "i don't like this movie," "scary," and "i want dora!" but she watched with us. we had missionaries over for dinner and we made it a family affair where everyone pitched in to help make dinner. it was yummy, the company was good, and they even helped with the clean up. :)

and now i'm a little less behind.
