Home

First off, let's admire our baby.
Christian started back to work this week and Jeanne goes back next week. They've got a nanny lined up for the few hours they'll need care for Ruby and then Jeanne will work weekends when Christian can keep her and they'll trade off as much as they can. And they were very happy when they met their nanny applicant to find out that she's a Utah Mormon girl! She's got a 2-year-old and she is just looking to supplement her husbands income, so it sounds like a good fit.

Anyways, we got home Tuesday and have been resting, playing catch up, and trying to keep hydrated. since we've still got stomach issues. We are pretty over these sad bellies.

While we were away, Jeanne's bestie Jaimlynn made this and said "I love our family," and I think that's about the nicest thing anyone has ever said about us. We'll take any and all stragglers.
Delaney had her first day of ballet 4 on wednesday! Thank goodness for Emma's hand-me-downs because the leo we ordered Delaney from Ballet Caliente's site won't arrive till next month. Thankfully her slippers came in today, because her old ones were a) too small and b) completely torn and already sewn once.
I spent Thursday morning cleaning the old leftovers out of the fridge and cleaning the kitchen. I know I'm being weird about not closing our cabinets, I'd just rather not close them till we get the knobs put on. #savethepaint
Admiring my Costa Rican spoon. That's a good looking tool, if i do say so myself. Also, can you see my watch tan line? My 6+ year old apple watch died in the ocean, which is probably the best place to die, but I'm sad.
We came home to alll the mail, 2 fundraisers and also a tech center fee all for the blond. Of course, Frankie has no idea what they're fundraising for, and neither do I since we all just paid $$$ for camp.
Thankfully our friends and family are generous and she sold her blanket quota and 3/4 of her butterbraid goal, +3 donations. I'm very happy with that.
And I got new cheer pictures.
Last night we were finally able to sample our Costa Rican goodies and the girls weren't impressed. The dark chocolate is 60% and the cocoa beans and CR licorice (pineapple with licorice consistency) are kid of weird, but Matt and I liked them. Oh, and my authentic CR cotton candy popcorn is made and manufactured in Dallas, so there's that.
Today Adi and Delaney came home from school and hopped on a game they like together. They were so cute sitting next to each other collaborating on their game, getting fuel for their fire, fighting off bad guys, and teleporting, I grabbed a video of them and sent it to Alexis and Christian. I was talking to one of my friends and her kids really don't like eachother right now and I'm so grateful that, for the time being at least, all of ours do. Lu and Bubba are besties and talk every day (and often include me which is the best!) and the girlies get along so cutely. (most of the time)
Tonight the timing worked out that Adi was able to drop Frankie off at a friends surprise party, Delaney at dance, and go babysit and Matt and I had a quiet night at home. We caught up on our documentaries and marveled at where we are and how different life was not that long ago. We're gearing up for a busy week, so that makes the last 3 slow days even sweeter.

Also, after a lot of hard work, this girl has met her physical goal of getting her splits! So wonderful to see progress! After 3 days of dance this week she is tired and looking forward to even more progress to come.
