We made it home around 12:30, super quick trip! It was such a lovely day that we packed up some snacks and headed to hike around sotterly.
It was a gorgeous 66 degrees and was so nice to be outside!
We walked down to the water and threw sticks in and watched the baby ducklings dive down and surface again and again.
We also found a hunting lookout, or whatever it's called.
Obviously everyone had to climb it.
We walked the edge of the property the whole way around. Matt showed the girls deer droppings, and then Laney the botanist/biologist found bear and "other animal" droppings.
We walked the beach and the girls found fossils.
Delaney could dig in the dirt and sand all. Day. Long.
We came upon this awesome tractor.
But we couldn't all get in the same picture, of course. We had to each have our own.
Last of all, we grabbed our snacks from the jolly green and ate them while we played in their little play area. It was wonderful.
We got home in time for a run and some baths, and then franks and I headed out to St. aloysius for our first Girl Scout cookie booth of the season. We only sold about 20 boxes, but they also got over $40 in donations, so I'd say that's a pretty successful 2 hours.
And finally, Bubba is making good use of his valentines George Foreman grill. He got a good price on some steak and he said it was super tasty. So glad I found a good and useful gift for him. Tonight is game night. I love that they love college. 💕
Last weekend matt had his navy weekend. Katie came over and got girls ready and took them to church for me. Love her! After church is when Addie had started to feel sick, so we weren't able to go to mc's for dinner or to jon's coh. I got started in family search and ended up spending several hours finding new ancestors. 4 great-great grandparents and a set of great-great-greats! 2 great greats from Germany and 2 from Sweden. So exciting! We also had tea and hot chocolate, and I finally got to use my new mug from Amanda that I got for Christmas. (:
I stayed home with Addie while matt took the little girls to the coh. She is a sweet little patient. Love this big girl!
