We headed out to valley forge first. I had read online about all of their amazing trails, and wow - it was so cool! Matt couldn't help but take a nap outside this super comfy cabin?
Rise and shine.
We biked all around valley forge, it was perfect. My one regret is that I have not exercised in a very long time and my legs were pretty jelly'esque after the first few hills.
I pushed through the pain as smhcb as I could and it was still fun.
We played the game that baseball is based on, not that I remember the name.
We talked with some of the volunteers and I had to laugh at her local dialect. She said a lot of "also too,"'s, as in "also too, George Washington had to convince people to leave their warm homes in December." She was full of good information and fun to talk to.
I think it's a good look.
We packed snacks, but neglected to actually bring them with us. So we stopped at this cute little cabin store for a sandwich and hot cocoa.
More biking. And more. And more. I was sooo tired!
Words can't really describe just how pretty everything was. The day was perfect, a tad cool, but just so beautiful. I loved the rolling hills and trees. Seriously, just a perfect day.
He's so weird, but I love him anyway.
We wanted to check out the covered bridge, but it was all torn up. Next time.
Next up was this cute little lighthouse at the sedgeley club.
Isn't she adorable???
Right on a beautiful river with an amazing bike/running path, I would so totally dig that!
We parked at the lighthouse and hopped back on our bikes to hit a skatepark Matt had found. It was less than 5 miles away on the perfect path, so nice!
Happy boy!
He skated and I read and everyone was happy.
On our way to southern Philadelphia in search of an authentic cheesesteak we passed the new temple! We had to pull over and take a pic.
The steakhouses were crazy busy! Matt ended up dropping me off and searching for a place to park. I chose pat's King of steaks and it did not disappoint! I even ordered it like a pro "one whiz with," and "one provolone with," to be exact. They were so yummy!!!
We had a few hours and thought about a movie, so we decided to head to Annapolis and hit the mall. But when we drove past the Philadelphia ikea we knew we had to stop. I love ikea. Someday we will buy a new couch.
We had a nice and easy drive home. We rolled up around 10 to 3 happy, sleeping girls, and 1 good friend. Alecia said that everything went really well and they had a great weekend. Yay! Chris made it home shortly after we did (he stayed at Davis') and everyone head a great weekend!
