another conference weekend is over. oh how i love this weekend.
and oh how i wish my girlies would take nice pictures with me.
for the second session we went to the mccombs. it was chaotic, but that's life with lots of littles.
we'll probably just continue to contain our conference chaos to our home from now on. :)
sunday morning was nice and slow. the girls took a bath and then got right back into their jams. cuddling with fresh and clean and yummy girls while listening to the prophet is the best.
lana posted about conference weekend being all about eating, and yeah, that's about right. the little girls were not waiting to get bingo, they were shoving handfuls of candy in their mouths every chance they got. it's only two weekends a year though, so i can handle that.
happy conference from idaho!
lex called late for our sunday convo, so we decided we'll try again today. she said one of her favorite talks was the one about the riptide. was a good one!
i was trying to send pics to lexi and matt, who always has to work the first weekend of april and october. laney said "mom, stop saying cheese to me!"
i looooove pajama days that i don't even have to feel guilty about!
crystal had given the girls these asian sodas last week, so i told them that during the second session they could drink them. then i forgot and was pleased as punch when they kept asking when the next session started because they were so excited! i asked why they were so excited and instead of a precious saintly little answer, frankie said "because i can't wait to drink my soda!!!"
i love cuddling kiddos.
daddy finally made it home towards the end of the pm session.
we're always so glad when daddy comes home!
little miss candy.
such a precious little nerdy.
the second conference session was the best for me in terms of being able to listen. laney didn't go down for nap till 1, at which time i asked if she was ready for bed and she said "show." (sure) i love that this girl loves her bed! 9 times out of 10 she goes to bed and nap happily. so grateful for that! then she slept till after the second session started, after 4:30. i even was able to have a successful bingo game. i'm excited to listen again with both matt and chris since they both missed some sessions.
late night cuddles.
after everyone went to bed i watched a fun show about a ghost from leonardtown. legend has it that moll dyer lived here during an arctic cold winter of 1697. people suspected her of being a witch and causing the super cold winter, so they chased her from her home where she froze on a rock and cursed the town. it was fun to see our little town portrayed on tv and it's the perfect time of year for a spooky story.
it was a wonderful weekend. :)
