saturday was our last day in kitty hawk. this has been such a wonderful vacation that i don't feel ready to go home. the week went by sooo fast and it's been sooo nice.
i wanted to stay at the beach all day saturday, and i did. we got out there by 10 and i didn't leave till 5, and then i only left because it started raining.
and my family was hungry, but you know.
after dinner we enjoyed some smores and then matt and i headed back to the beach to catch sunset.
there's a dock that didn't look that far away, so we headed out for a romantic, pre-anniversary sunset walk. it was gorgeous and wonderful and we enjoyed our walk down to and along the pier. but then it was dark and we had a long walk home, much longer than we thought it would be. and did i mention that it was dark? thankfully, matt knew where we our path back home was, because i never would have found it! and thankfully we didn't get eaten by any of the dozens of crabs we saw crawling all over the beach!
it was a wonderful end to a wonderful week.
