day 4 - at the resort

after being at the magic kingdom all day on monday, we decided to take it easy at the resort on tuesday. the resort was huge and nice and had about 5 pools, a beach, and a ton of other things to do. so we all slept in. matt, mindy, and i went grocery shopping for perishables. we bought waaaay too much food, but that's just the way we roll. :)

after the store, we hung out all morning and relaxed. before lunch, matt and all the kids went to the pool. somehow mindy and i were able to stay home in a quiet house (frankie was asleep). it was awesome!

after the pool and baths, we decided to decorate some easter cookies that sydney's mom had sent with us. they had fun and turned out cute. (alexis and brytanna declined to make cookies)

after the cookies, we popped popcorn and watched tangled - first time i've ever seen it! it was so cute!

after the movie the girls were getting restless, so we filled up the waterguns with plans to ambush the big girls who were tanning at the pool. we got a knock at the door. i was positive it was one of the kids, so we all got our guns ready and opened the door, ready to shoot and... it was another guest asking to borrow some salt! pretty funny!

trying to take the girls to the pool in their clothes and telling them not to get in the water didn't work. within about 2 minutes, they had both sat down in their full clothing.

i had brought the sidewalk chalk for the girls to play with, but they abandoned ship and went swimming, so i played with it. :)

when we got back to the apartment, we found that mindy had made tacos (maybe "sister wives" is onto something!) and we ate dinner and got all bathed up and ready for bed. addie was the mvp sleeper by the way! we had brought our pack and play for frankie to sleep in, but the first night we got to the hotel in south carolina addie said, "i want to climb in and go to sleep." and she did!!! she climbed in and went right to sleep! and she did that every night! it was the weirdest thing ever! frankie wasn't horrible, but we did break out the baby benadryl both nights in the hotel. something about having mom and dad in bed with her just gets her all excited.
next up: disneys hollywood studios!
